I Bought a Puppy...Now What?
Author: +Brittany Eagar
There are cat people and there are dog people. Dog people can sometimes be of a whole other breed, pun intended. Most dog owners treat their pooch like a member of the family. And I can’t blame them because I know I do the same! A couple of weeks ago we talked about what it means for your insurance if you’re having a new baby, but what happens if you’re adding a different kind of family member to your home? If you’re thinking about getting a dog, I’m sure there are a lot of things that will factor into your decision on which breed. It might be a good idea to factor in what effects that breed may have on your Connecticut home insurance policy rates! If you are not sure which breeds are considered more of a liability, call us now and we would be happy to help with your questions.

If the newest, furry member of your family happens to bite someone or gets loose and damages someone’s property, you will be responsible. If you don’t think your Home Insurance liability will be enough coverage, maybe a CT Umbrella Insurance policy is a good idea!
Give us a call and update your home insurance with your new addition. After that, I guess it’s time to start the training process. Good luck, here’s a little inspiration on why it’s all worth it:
