A little while ago I wrote a blog about the benefits of LinkedIn Groups for your business. While LinkedIn Groups are great, there’s even more you can do on LinkedIn, especially for your small business. LinkedIn always strikes me as the social media venue that should make the most sense for businesses, but sometimes businesses manage to forget about it. However, there are some small businesses and start-ups taking advantage of all that LinkedIn has to offer. Check out recommendations from Guy Kawasaki on some of the ways small businesses can use LinkedIn:
- Acquire new customers through online recommendations and word of mouth.
- Keep in touch with people who care most about your business.
- Find the right vendors to outsource services you’re not an expert on.
- Build your industry network—online and in person.
- Win new business by answering questions in your area of expertise.
- Raise funding.
- Network with peers in your industry for repeat business referrals.
- Convince potential customers of your expertise by sharing unique blog content.
- Keep your friends close and your competition closer.

According to the Charlotte Observer, one man went to great lengths to enjoy his favorite hometown food. Town Spa Pizza received a tall order from David Schuler of Jackson, Mississippi. The native of Stoughton ordered 150 pies from the small business last weekend. This is a tradition he started years ago when he was unable to find a good slice...
