Whether  kids are playing street hockey in your neighborhood or your car is in the parking lot of the little league field, be careful of fly balls this summer! So you head over to your car see the big dent in the glass…now what? Would you insurance cover this? Who should you call? Don’t worry, we are here to give you some advice on this summer accident! In this situation, it would be important you have enough comprehensive coverage on your Connecticut Car Insurance policy because that will be what covers your car or windshield when hit by a ball. If you don’t have comprehensive coverage you will most likely not be covered.

Glass Coverage Insurance

Comprehensive is the less expensive of the physical damage coverage and it’s great coverage to have, even with an older vehicle. The glass coverage it offers  has no deductible so it would be free to get the windshield or window fixed. If you’re worried that your policy doesn’t include the glass coverage you would need in this situation, give your agent a call and ask about comprehensive coverage on your vehicle! Summer can be a hectic time for accidents, having the right insurance company for instances like this is important.
